LEGO Star Wars Sandcrawler

$299.00 Released January, 2005

Product Shot 1 The Pros:The only set that includes Jawa minifigures. Huge amount of pieces with a long build time (about 5-6 hours). Includes a large selection of minifigures, some of which are hard to find.

The Cons:Very pricey as it is now considered a collector's item. A lot of wasted space in the set--lacks some of the detail of other sets. Track design doesn't roll well on carpet.

The LEGO Star Wars Sandcrawler is a Star Wars-themed playset, and is very large. It contains over 1600 pieces, and is based on the Sandcrawler from Star Wars Episode IV. The crawler has treads on the bottom that rotate via LEGO Technic axles, and there is a steering mechanism inside that can be used to guide it.

Where to Buy

A side panel can be removed to reveal a Jawa workshop inside the Sandcrawler, and a crane with a pulley system can load or unload figures. A cockpit area can be opened to remove the driver. This set includes a total of eleven miniature figures: Uncle Lars, seven droids and three Jawas. The Unce Lars figure and Jawas are unique - this is the only playset in which they can be found. The set is intended for use with other LEGO Star Wars playsets, has a high price point, and is collectable.
